I bet that guy is gonna feel like a real idiot next time he sees Social D and Brent just happens to be standing on stage with a bass guitar in his hands.

I met Dennis and John a long long time ago. I met Mike for the first time in San Diego a few months ago, which was really great because I have wanted to meet him forever, but I was disappointed that I did not get to meet Johnny, Charlie or Brent. They weren't outside with Mike at the time. I hope I get to meet them next time.

Thumbs up

Very funny! Thanx Geekgirl!!! This is very funny and we know how it was. That guy really an idiot. Maybe he are fan of SD but he is NOT right. If he knows how it is silly he shouldn't talk with Brent about such things like that.
One time we go through exit after our local Mad Heads gig with guys from band and met girl and boy who come late and went in. Mad Heads end their performance early and after them another bands must play at the show. It was a late evening and there was not so much light on the street. So we go out and girl who met Vaddy ( frontman of MH who go first ) asked: " Did the gig started? Which band you are? ". We keep our loughing and Vaddy said: "No we are not band. We are stage crew". That was very funny but we know that such asks are really insulting for band. We saw it and felt it.
So, Brent could to replied something rougher than he did. Shame on such "fans"!

Thats a funny story. I've heard some stories about Mike himself not being recognized as well. Theres also an imposter Mike out there, that goes around seducing dumbass girls. I think I figured out who it is too.
On the same note, I have to add the last time I saw Jonny was at a Tramps show right before they left on tour. The crowd was unusually filled with lames (I wont go into why) but I was standing next to Jonny, and there were so many meatheads shoving into him. It was pissing me off. I was thinking to myself, I bet the majority of these people are Social D fans and know that Jonny replaced Dennis. They would probably think they are experts on the subject, but they were absolutely clueless to the fact that they were being disrespectful assholes to him that night. People humor us, or at least they humor me.
Erika, I have to say you and Brent were so much fun to hang with. Your great people! They are all such nice guys though. Cheers to Charlie, Curt, Donny, Danny, and of course Brent and Jonny too. Mikes has the best support!

I had the pleasure of talking to Twobags, Matt Freeman, and Ness in Austin last year and they were the most down to earth guys I have ever met. Twobags especially because he was just being himself and treating the fans like they were his friends. Matt seemed kinda shy but he did say that it was a dream come true to be in Social D for that time period. He said that John Maurer was a very underated bass player and that he had a lot of respect for him. I do agree that Brent is a better fit because he is living it up on stage and singing other than Matt who was observing Mike the whole time and keeping in the corner. Matt is an awesome bass player but I am happy to see Brent up there.
